IconTweaker 1.12.2648 is a freeware application that allows you to customize all your Windows icons.
You would want to customize them to make your desktop look better and improve the usability, making easier to recognize items.
You can share your icons with others, and use other people´s creations. It has many themes included.
The first thing the program will do once you install it is to offer you to use one of the included themes. You can choose if you want to install a new one. You can preview the theme and the info related to it before deciding.
Should you want to use one of the pre-build themes, you can Load it.
Then, IconTweaker will show you how will your icons, folders and cursors look before applying the theme. You can choose whether or not to apply them for each individual case.
Once you´re satisfied with the results, you can apply changes.
In the "System" section you can choose if you want the icons to use all possible colors, to remove the "Shortcut to..." words, the size that you want them to have and the Icon cache size.
